Getting Closer

Scheduled pre-departure COVID PCR Test today. Not cheap, but do not have to pay until tested with a promised turn around between 0900 and 1200 the next day. Argentina requires a negative test within 72 hours of departure from the flight to Buenos Aires. There is also a requirement to fill out an affidavit affirming your good health and travel insurance that covers any medical expenses.

Our scheduled flights have made one big change and a minor eight minute one. The big change backed up our departure to earlier in the day. This is a good thing since we and our bags will have more time to make the connection to Argentina.

Speaking of bags we have started to layout some of the necessities for the trip that aren't used here at home. Magnetic hooks (walls in the cabin are metal) to hold masks, light jackets an the days schedule. Transformer for the overnight in Buenos Aires. Our stocking caps, boot socks, and long johns. Viking provides waterproof boots, pants, and a parka with a removable lining. Because it is an international flight we are allowed two bags per person. A good thing given all the climates we will encounter!!!
