6 April Sea Day Twelve Pedicure and Barbados Preview

Trivia today and the boys tied it up to make tomorrow’s day a play for the championship. How high is the Eiffel Tower in meters? There were usually seven people on each team. A surprising cross section of backgrounds that only very rarely stumped both sides. The victor in each round usually won by only one question our of the 16 given.

Karla’s pedicure was in two sessions, polish removal and polish application later in the day. It turns out the manicurist remembered Karla from the world cruise in 2019. Distinctive feet? Who knows?

The preview of Barbados was the Expedition Leader’s first time delivering a destination briefing that didn’t include cautions about boarding the Zodiacs and care in approaching the wildlife. He did a fair job, but didn’t cover the exchange rate and as was always included on previous Viking trips, where to find a bathroom. Oh well—He left himself room for improvement.

On the Octantis can go out on the bow at anytime to see what you can see.

There is a shelter area to get out of the wind. The handrail is heated in cold climates.

Dinner in the World Café with 60 passengers on board. I'll take another after we fill up on Saturday, 9 April.

For our friend Paul!!!

After dinner we played musical trivia completing the lyrics to popular songs. We’ve become very appreciative of Dani and James the vocal/guitar duo’s musical skills. The songs in the contest were maybe a little to current for us and the one other team. A score of six/fifteen won.

We got an extra hour of sleep, turning the clocks back to east coast time. Nice!!!
