22 March Sea Day Number Two

We slept in today. This is hard to do, since our COVID-19 saliva samples have to be out the door by 0800. We took a chance and produced an early morning sample. So far so good. I attended Morning Prayer via ZOOM. The connection seemed pretty stable, so may try again.
After we were up it was off to the gym. For the first time there were three other people working out.
Before we went down to the gym, I ran upstairs to Mamsen’s for a yogurt and cinnamon rolls for after the workout. This with the electric teapot in the room and a stop for Karla to pick up a cappuccino after the workout made the day seem almost like one at home.
Trivia is the only big cruise line like activity on Viking ships. We played again with two other teams of 6. We finished second—AGAIN.
Karla, thankfully, took advantage of the sea day to do wash. I used the time to catch-up on this blog. The writing isn’t so hard, but selecting pictures and uploading over a none-to-fast internet link takes time.
Doing laundry here is fast. I take all the empty washers and then use 3 dryers. Much less time spent than at home. All the Antarctic clothing has been stashed. May use the jacket and insulated pants in the Great Lakes area. Tomorrow will be shorts and flipflops. Looking at about 50 degrees or warmer. Whoa…a heat wave for us.
All the bread baked on-board in this open kitchen bakery.

Can't capture how interesting this ceiling art is. Wire birds are three dimensional from here.

From below they appear in only two dimensions.
